Success #1: 3la.org-
Yes, believe it or not, this site is it's own first success story.
When I built this site, I had planned to set it up as tla.terratron.com,
with the TLA standing for "Three Letter Acronym" (yes, pun intended).
Then it seemed to me that it was a little hypocritical of me to claim that
I understand the importance of short URLs, without using one myself.
I went to work right away, searching under the letter "T", and finding nothing.
I looked under the digit "3" and "3la.org" was screaming "Please use
me!"
The entire process didn't take more than 3 minutes! Had I done it the
"traditional" way, 3la.org would probably have been the 20th site I tried,
assuming I even thought of it!
This immediately proved to me the effectiveness of the site, and I hope
everyone else derives the same benefit from it.
Success #2: Daily Website Award, January 24, 2000-
I was thrilled and honored to find out that this site was selected to receive
the Daily Website Award on January 24th 2000.
